Frozen Sunrise

Set on the Ottawa River between Ottawa and Gatineau.

On the ice the with a slight breeze, the temperature was approximately -25c.
It needs to be very cold to achieve the striking snow-toss shots.
It is known as the "Mpemba Effect".
